This month, Bennett Verby are celebrating 30 years since formation in Stockport with a rebrand and a rebuild. Our CEO, Bernard Verby, formed the company in October 1989, and the firm has been going from strength to strength ever since. Bernard said:
“I am delighted to be celebrating three decades as CEO, having watched our firm grow in size, reputation and turnover.
“Back in 1989, we were using faxes and huge PCs to conduct our business, and relied on ‘getting out there’ to attract new business. While the accounting industry has embraced new technology and management ideas, we still believe in personal service, keeping our clients at the heart of everything we do.”
A fresh new website…
Bennett Verby has also unveiled its new branding and website which offers a clear and simple view of the company as well as up to date industry news and tax tips. Bernard said,
“The new website gave us a chance to overhaul the company image. Instead of an impression of grey suits and calculators, the new website shows our expertise and breadth of knowledge. Thanks to great advice from our designers, we can add events, blogs, news articles and images, keeping the content fresh and up to date.”
…and fresh new facilities
To mark the occasion and to accommodate the firm’s growing headcount, Bennett Verby will be refurbishing the ground floor of its St Petersgate headquarters in late 2019. The firm has plans to create a ground-floor reception and flexible meeting space, which will provide modern facilities and accommodation for its clients, visitors and administration team. Bernard said,
“Our new storefront will reflect our people-orientated culture, creating a welcoming atmosphere for our visitors and much-needed areas for relaxation for our team. We are considering the environment with every step of the build, and will offer secure storage and washroom facilities for those who wish to take advantage of our bike-to-work scheme.
“As our offices are in a conservation area just a stone’s throw from the Underbanks, we are looking forward to creating a sympathetic conversion which will add to the regeneration of the area around Stockport’s thriving market place.”
