Mel has been Payroll Manager at Bennett Verby for twelve years, having moved from Ceridian in 2007. He currently manages a team of four in our Stockport office.
Our expert in all aspects of Payroll legislation, Mel also advises our clients about their pension and auto enrolment requirements, making sure their records are in check and they are meeting the Pension Regulator’s requirements.
Mel’s calm approach to life serves the Payroll department well in the chaos that is month end, and his pragmatism and unflappable nature have created a loyal and happy team. Mel says “I like to give the team freedom as I think they learn more this way.”
Outside work, Mel enjoys spending time with his two sons and his partner Annie, and has been following Manchester United around Europe for over 30 years.
